Florida Collegiate High School LLC provides students with Christian educational experiences. These experiences develop their academic skills. They also enhance their leadership abilities. The aim is to prepare them for success in life. Articulation agreements between universities allow students to enroll in college-level courses through early college programs. Dual-enrollment programs also help them excel. We focus on developing future leaders who have strong faith foundations. We help them build knowledge-based skills. This empowers them to make significant contributions to their communities and beyond.
Leadership
Dr. Anthony Abell, President and Executive Program Director
Dr. Anthony L. Abell leads our institution to offer a demanding collegiate program. It combines Christian teachings with leadership training. Additionally, it provides early access to college. Dr. Abell has accumulated more than 20 years of professional expertise in Christian post-secondary education. He has experience in both the classroom and administration.
Dr. Abell holds a Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) in Learning and Organizational Change from Baylor University, as well as a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) and a Master of Theology (Th.M.) in Old Testament from Calvary Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Master of Theology (Th.M.) in Philosophy, Worldview, and Apologetics from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. In addition to his administrative duties, he teaches courses in Christian formation, Christian worldview, apologetics, ethics, philosophy, and the humanities at FLCHS.
Mrs. Rachel Abell, Coordinator of Student Experience
Rachel Abell serves as the Student Experience Coordinator for Florida Collegiate High School, where she helps cultivate a Christ-centered student culture marked by academic accountability, spiritual formation, leadership development, and meaningful community engagement.
In her role, Rachel works directly with students and families throughout the enrollment and onboarding process, supports student orientation and registration, coordinates chapel services, Bible studies, service opportunities, and student life activities, and helps students stay academically accountable as they prepare for dual enrollment and early college success. Her responsibilities also include supporting student communications, tracking community service participation, and helping connect students with the resources they need to thrive.
Rachel brings a strong background in student leadership, mentoring, athletics, and campus life. She holds a degree in Exercise Science from Union University and completed an MBA in Health Care Management. Her experience includes student life leadership at Union University, ministry leadership with Young Life, exposure to athletic training, event planning, student mentorship, and community-building initiatives.
At FLCHS, Rachel is especially passionate about helping students grow not only as learners, but as young men and women of character, service, and faith. Through her work in spiritual formation, academic support, leadership development, and parent communication, she plays a vital role in making the FLCHS experience personal, structured, and mission-driven.
Dr. Krista Mallo, Director of Academic Services
Dr. Krista Mallo, as Director of Academic Services at Florida Collegiate High School, applies her extensive knowledge in curriculum development. She also demonstrates proficiency in instructional leadership and focuses on student engagement. Dr. Mallo completed her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with research concentrating on student persistence. She earned her Master’s degree in English Education and her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature. This demonstrated her extensive knowledge of the field of education and her passion for her subject matter.
During her professional career, Dr. Mallo held multiple leadership positions, including Curriculum Specialist, Chair of General Studies, and Chief Academic Officer. During her tenure in these roles, she established initiatives that improved student learning results. She supported teacher growth. She also fostered inclusive educational spaces. Dr. Mallo has taught English composition and literature at the postsecondary level and served as director of those programs. While at the post-secondary level, Dr. Mallo managed a highly successful student learning center. It focused on ensuring student success through peer and faculty mentorships.
